John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

PRATOR, WHITEHORN AND MAYBE HATFIELD IN CADDO SHERIFF RACE

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is running for re-election this fall.

Henry Whitehorn will also run for Sheriff.

Eric Hatfield is considering the race.

Prator started off the year with over $125,000 in his campaign account.

He has a fundraisers on Thurs. May 25 and Fri. June 2.

Whitehorn has never run a political race.

Caddo DA James Stewart, Morningstar minister Theron Jackson, and political operative Lynn Braggs are supporting Whitehorn.

Hatfield is a former constable.

He ran unsuccessfully against Prator in the last election.

Qualifying is in Aug. for the Oct. primary.
