COMPLAINTS FILED AGAINST COUNCILMAN JAMES GREEN AND COUNCIL CLERK’S OFFICE WITH LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR AND LOUISIANA ETHICS COMMISSION

I have filed complaints overpay Gate with the Louisiana Legislative Auditor and the Louisiana Ethics Commission.

My complaints were against councilman James Green, council clerk Shanerika Fleming and all the employees of the clerk's office.

I also emailed Caddo DA James Stewart on this matter. Stewart referred me to the Shreveport Police Department, the Caddo Parish Sheriff Office and/or the Louisiana State Police.

Reportedly Green and SPD Chief Wayne Smith are cousins. The council funds SPD. I recognize conflicts with any complaint filed with SPD.

I emailed Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator yesterday. (I think he is out of town.) I realize this may not be appropriate for the Sheriff to get involved since there is an election to replace him.

I have emailed the Louisiana State Police.

Investigations by these government entities can proceed without regard to any action by the city council.

Clearly money has been awarded to employees without proper authority.

Likewise, these employees received funds that they were not entitled to get.

Taxpayers have been defrauded--pure and simple.

Appropriate action should be taken that could include criminal charges.
