WHY DOES COUNCILMAN GREEN HAVE AN LSP BADGE AND A CITY MARSHALL COMMISSION?

Shreveport city councilman James Green was recently stopped by a SPD officer for having windows that were tinted too dark.

Ultimately, three SPD officers were on the scene.

Green was not ticketed, but he was advised to have the tint corrected. Whether or not his black Mercedes Benz SUV with a vanity license plate J-SENA still has windows that are tinted too dark is an open question.

Green produced a Louisiana State Police Badge and a Shreveport City Marshall Commission to the officers. Presumably this was his justification for his windows.

One officer asked how he got the badge and commission and Green refused to answer. He advised that he was not required to ask that question.

As usual Green was very demonstrative in his conversations with the SPD officers, all of whom are white.

Green brought this incident up this week in one the council meetings as an example of racism.

One can only wonder if racism was the reason, he had the badge and the commission.
