COUNCILMAN JAMES GREEN FINALLY NAMES REPRESENTATIVES TO BOND COMMITTEE

Lo and behold--Shreveport council chair James Green has finally named two representatives to Mayor Arceneaux's bond committee. Green is only three weeks too late--the committee has had three meetings.

He named Darrin Dixon and Mella Brown. Presumably they live in District F.

Why the delay by Green?

Maybe Green has been too busy selling his Beard Butter.

Possibly Green has been too busy trying to get new credentials from the Shreveport Marshal's Office to flash when stopped by Shreveport Police officers.

But then, he could have been scrambling to get a new badge/commission from the Louisiana State Police.

Green has been in the public frying pan for his unauthorized pay raises to the council clerk's office.

And then the blamed ALL of Shreveport problems on white citizens---which he later said was intended to be former white city council members.

Goodness, Green has had so many distractions. All the while the citizens of his District F have suffered from his inattention to a primary responsibility as a council member.

SETTLETALK has published two columns on Green's blatant irresponsibility in making these appointments. So even though Green says he does not read these columns, maybe someone read them to him.
