SHREVEPORT COUNCIL WOMAN TAYLOR IS HYPOCRITICAL IN HER VOTING FOR ATTORNEYS

Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor frequently waves the flag for equal treatment of females in city hiring as well as pay scales.

She voted against CAO Tom Dark stating that females at city hall did not get appropriate pay versus males.

She voted to confirm Marcus Edwards as city attorney. Edwards is an African American male.

Taylor voted against confirming Zelda Tucker as an assistant city attorney. Tucker is an African American female.

And just yesterday she was the sole vote against hiring Treneisah Hill as special counsel to investigate the recent pay raises unilaterally made by council chair James Green. (Green voted for Hill, saying he welcomed the investigation.) Hill is an African American female.

Both Tucker and Hill are imminently qualified. Taylor gave no reasons for her "NO" votes.

Taylor's long time romantic interest is Ron Lattier, former city attorney in the Perkins' administration. She voted to both confirm Lattier and to give him a $15,900 pay raise. Lattier is an African American male.

Hmmm.

What's the reasoning for voting against African American women?

Maybe her votes are just coincidence, but that is highly unlikely.

The next time Taylor plays the "race card" she should be reminded of these two votes against African American females.
