Seemingly a councilman would want his district to be represented on Mayor Arceneaux's Capital improvements Committee which will make recommendations to the City Council for a 2024 bond election.
Even though council members have had several weeks to nominate two of their district citizens to the committee, "A Certain Person" had not submitted any names.
So, the first committee meeting on Thurs. Aug. 31 did not have representatives from District F.
Hmmm.
Maybe "A Certain Person " has been too busy explaining his ill-fated pay raises to the council clerk staff.
Perhaps "A Certain Person" has been too busy justifying his traffic stop for illegally tinted car windows. or why he only received a warning versus a citation.
It could be that "A Certain Person" has been too busy whining that the Louisiana State Police patch and the Shreveport City Marshal commission did give him certain privileges when it comes to law enforcement officials.
But then the City Marshal has stated he did NOT give "A Certain Person" the commission and he wants it returned.
Who knows, the LSP may have asked for a return of the patch sewed into the wallet of "A Certain Person."
Of course, "A Certain Person" does have time restraints leading his church, hosting his radio show and performing his duties as a council member and as the chair of the council.
Not to be forgotten is the duties "A Certain Person" has in pushing his Beard Butter product while he prunes for the camera.
Lastly, "A Certain Person" could be planning a speaking tour to espouse his declaration that white folks are to blame for everything wrong with Shreveport.
Hopefully the long Labor Day weekend gave "A Certain Person" the time to send two names to the mayor for the committee.
And if not, "A Certain Person" should get one of his council surrogates (Tabatha Taylor or Alan Jackson) to help him out. Worse case, he could ask one of his favs in the council clerk's office.
So much for "diligence" as a council member or "leadership" as the council chair in handling this important request from the mayor. But then "A Certain Person" is not known for either--just self- aggrandizement.
