John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CHELETTE HOLDEN, SPONSOR OF FRIDAY’S UNAUTHORIZED PARTY, WAS ADVISED THAT NO PERMIT WAS ISSUED

The Facebook post for Rhythms on the Red listed DDA and GSpot as sponsors.

Chelette Holden, a DDA board member, owns/operates the GSpot bar.

Holden was notified, along with over 30 others including more that 20 Shreveport City employees, that the Rhythyms on the Red was NOT issued a SPAR permit.

Thus Holden was constructively aware that the event in the Red River District that Friday night was not authorized. The manager of GSpot defended the event at yesterday’s Council work session.
