COUNCILMAN JACKSON SKIPS TUESDAY PAY RAISE VOTE BUT HAS THURSDAY NIGHT FUNDRAISER

The Shreveport City Council had extensive discussions concerning pay raises for Shreveport employees, including police and fire, at its Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 8, 9) meetings of this week. At the Tuesday meeting a pay raise package was passed on a 6-0 vote.

Guess which council member was NOT in attendance at either of these meetings?

And then guess who had a campaign fundraiser in Shreveport last Thursday (Dec.11)

He is the same council member who has a full-time job at a college in Austin, Texas.

He is the same council member who misses many council meetings.

He is the same council member who was a part owner of a bar/restaurant that mysteriously burned down.

If you guessed District E councilman Alan Jackson, then you win the prize.

What does this say about Jackson’s priorities? What does this say to the voters of his council district E?  What does this say about Jackson’s commitment to the betterment of his district and the entire city.

Lastly, guess if he will be at the special council meeting this Thursday to vote on the proposed data center.
