Last month a Marshall Texas company installed a temporary fence around the downtown lot owned by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The fence, or parts of it, have been blown down several times.
Certainly spending $32 thousand dollars with a Texas company to install the fence sends a bad, as in very bad, message to Shreveport. Even if “all roads lead to Shreveport” as Jackson proclaims, evidently roads for fence companies lead to Marshall.
Jackson is hoping to get by year end a $50 million LED grant for downtown Shreveport renovation and construction. Seemingly his inattention to fencing in his downtown lot does NOT send a great message to LED.
If the fence is not properly installed soon, Jackson may be caught with his pants down by the decision makers in Baton Rouge.
The pictures below were taken this past weekend. As of early this morning, the fencing was still down.
