SHREVEPORT CITY COUNCIL REFINANCING VOTE WILL SAVE $8 MILLION

The Shreveport City Council voted at a special meeting today to refinance Water and Sewer Bonds to achieve an estimated $8 million (net) in bond repayments.

The savings will be realized over several years and will benefit the Water and Sewage Department enterprise fund. This money can be expended to needed infrastructure repairs/replacement.

The Arceneaux administration and the council are commended for this prudent financial action.
