SHREVEPORT TIMES POST FALSE STORY ON CADDO COMMISSION AND SANDERS RESOLUTION

The article is titled "Caddo Commission Ratifies Special Resolution for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders." It was posted online  by Ian Robinson at 8:56 a.m. today, July 1.

The first paragraph reads as follows:

"The Caddo Commission voted 7-5 Monday, June 30, to ratify the special resolution welcoming  U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders following his visit to Shreveport."

THIS HEADLINE AND FIRST PARAGRAPH ARE TOTALLY FALSE.

The vote yesterday was to ADVANCE the resolution to the regular meeting this Thursday.

This is the practice of the Commission at work sessions--to approve the agenda for actual votes at the next regular meeting. The actual vote to ratify is scheduled to be taken Thursday.
