John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

DISTRICT D ELECTION CAMPAIGNS KICK OFF YEAR IN HIGH GEAR

Grayson Boucher is the councilman for Shreveport’s District D. Boucher is termed out and cannot seek re-election this fall.
 
Last month Tim Euler announced his campaign for the District D seat. He previously was a candidate for the Caddo Commission. He has a fundraiser next Tues. (Jan. 13) at the Ellerbee Silver Star.
 
Chaunta Mero announced her candidacy for District D on Jan 1 with a press release. The email included a campaign video.
 
Yesterday (Sun.) she sent out an email addressed to Business Owner. In the email Mero requested campaign donations.
 
Euler has a campaign finance report from his commission race that can be utilized for his council race.
 
The Louisiana Board of Ethics website does not show a campaign disclosure filing for Mero.
