THERE WILL BE AT LEAST OPEN SEAT ON THE CADDO JUDICIAL BENCH THIS FALL

It’s election year for all the Caddo District judges, along with Shreveport City Court judges.

In Caddo, Judge Katherine Dorroh has decided to retire and not seek re-election. Judge Dorroh was first elected in April 2013. To date, no other Caddo judges have indicated that they will not seek re-election.

In Shreveport City Court, Judge Sheva Sims will be opposed this fall. Depending on the pending ruling by the Louisiana Supreme Court, Sims may not be on the bench to seek re-election.

Shreveport City Judge Brian Barber hopes to be appointed as the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Louisiana this year. Thus, his court seat may be open.
