MAYORAL CANDIDATE GAGE-WATTS SUPPORTS DONATING PUBLIC DOLLARS TO “FOR PROFIT” BUSINESS

Caddo Commissioner Stormy Gage-Watts chairs the Commission’s Economic Development Committee.

She is also a declared candidate for Shreveport mayor even though she lives outside the Shreveport city limits.

The committee's first action was to recommend payment of $32,500 of public dollars to a “FOR PROFIT” business—the Louisiana Rouxgaroux.

This is the arena football team that plays in the Brookshire’s Grocery Arena in Bossier City and has its office in Bossier’s Boardwalk.

Presumably Stormy’s campaign platform will include her support for paying tax dollars to FOR PROFIT businesses located in Bossier City.

Gage-Watts has other memorable actions as an elected official, such as presenting a recognition resolution to Bernie Sanders BEFORE any vote by the Caddo Commissioners.

Now that she is the mayoral fishbowl, her past actions/votes as a Caddo Commissioner and those of this year will certainly provide a record for consideration by Shreveport voters.
