TESTAMENT CONSTRUCTION HAS STOPPED WORK ON MAJOR BOSSIER PROJECT

A Bossier City official advised the Bossier Council at yesterday's meeting that Testament Construction Company had stopped work on a major drainage ditch project. The worksite demobilization was confirmed by councilman Brian Hammons.

Work had started, and payments had been made to Testament.

Reportedly Testament pulled off the project for no justifiable reason.

Testament is actively working on the Shreveport YMCA baseball fields and the Buckey’s truck stop in Ruston.

At the next council meeting on March 17, the Bossier City attorney will provide information on the construction contract and remedies for any untimely performance by Testament.

The Council will also receive information on the funds disbursed by the City and the percentage of work completed  on the drainage project.

The Council is expected to instruct that prompt action be taken to get this project back on track and/or that legal action be taken against Testament and its bonding company.
