DO SIGNS ON 50 CENT’S TEMPORARY FENCE VIOLATE UDC AND STATE LIQUOR LAWS

A temporary fence has been placed on the borders of the city block owned by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in downtown Shreveport.

Each panel is adorned with a sign promoting Jackson and/or the alcoholic beverage brands that he owns/promotes.

The signs appear to violate the provisions of the Shreveport Unified Development Code (UDC). Additionally, they may violate state restrictions on alcohol advertising.

If nothing else, the signs are unsightly. Hopefully they are not representative of Jackson’s future development plans for the downtown area.
