How You Can Help Pay Funeral Expenses for Children Killed in Shreveport Mass Shooting

Erin McCarty 710KEEL

Shreveport is reeling from the loss of 8 children in a tragic shooting on Sunday morning. These children range in age from 3 to 11. Most of them are elementary school students at Summer Grove. Others attend Linwood Charter School.

The mother of some of these children was shot and another woman is fighting for her life.
Dr. Jerome Cox is Co-Chair of Shreveport Citizens United and he has gathered the team to work to "bring peace and support to the families and loved ones of those lost and injured."

One of the greatest challenges right now is that no one was prepared to bury this many children. SCU is committed to making sure every one of these children receives a proper burial.

SCU says "we will not let that fall on families already carrying more than anyone should have to. If it is in your heart to help, you can make a tax-deductible gift through SCU."

Please note "for burials" with your donation. We will make certain your gifts are spent wisely.

If you would like to help with these costs, mail your donation to:

Shreveport Citizens United 9151 Youree Dr. Shreveport, LA 71115

You are also encouraged to pray for the families who are grieving and for our city.
