NO RELIEF FOR OLD SHERATON EYESORE ON EAST 70 ST

It’s a big burr under Shreveport councilman Grayson Boucher’s saddle, and it has been for many years.

In reality, there is very little hope of resolution by the end of Boucher’s term this year.

Property owners have many rights, including non-completion of renovation of their properties.

Shreveport Property Standards Division can cite, again, the high grass along the street and any on-site trash not behind the construction fence.

Other than that, the city government can do little to force the completion and opening of the property renovation.

Having the project manager/owner representative appear again before the council will be whitewash, but it may ease Boucher’s posterior pain.
