COMMISSIONER VICTOR THOMAS HOOKS TWO DRINKS FROM COMMISSION REFRIGERATOR

The Caddo Commission clerk’s office in Government Plaza has a small gathering area just outside the chambers featuring a coffee pot and small refrigerator stocked with canned sodas for the commissioners to enjoy before, during and after their many meetings.

This past Monday there were no commission meetings.

Caddo Commissioner Victor Thomas was observed scurrying out of Government Plaza with an embarrassed look on his face just before the Shreveport city council meeting clutching two canned sodas that apparently had been “rescued” from the commission’s fridge.

He did not respond to a text concerning soft drinks.

Thomas chows down on the free food provided to commissioners who have many committee meetings around noon and reportedly always looks for a take home bag for unconsumed box lunches or left over buffet food..

Victor likes to brag that he loves food, and that is quite apparent when comparing his current physique to that when he first joined the commission in January 2024.

Thomas likes to travel to conventions and meetings on the taxpayers dime like several other commissioners, but then that’s another story.
