SB ADVOCATE INACCUARATELY REPORTS ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION BY CADDO COMMISSION

The headline in today’s SB Advocate reads “Requests for environmental studies of north LA data centers fail in Caddo.”

The first sentence reads “Two resolutions attempting to request the developers of the data center in West Shreveport on State Line Road in Caddo Parish to provide environmental studies failed Thursday.”

The reporter Liz Swaine was at the Caddo Commission meeting yesterday.

At meeting the two resolutions affecting data centers did not fail –they were referred to the Natural Resources Committee chaired by Grace Ann Blake.  One resolution deals with the capture of rainwater and cleaning of wastewater and the other requiring an environmental impact study.

Hopefully this committee will meet soon and any reporting by The Advocate at the meeting will be accurate.
