SHAME ON SADISTIC ILLEGAL AFTER HOUR FIREWORK SHOOTING SPREES

You know who I am talking about.

Those “other people” who have nothing better to do than waste money by setting off barrages of fireworks over the holiday periods, especially AFTER 10 p.m. witching hour when discharge of fireworks is prohibited until 8 a.m.

Yes, it's ILLEGAL in Caddo and Bossier Parishes to discharge fireworks between those hours and ONLY between today (July 1) through Sunday (July 5).

It's obvious that “those people” do not have infants or very young children much less dogs and cats who do not enjoy—which is an understatement—fireworks at all, or at least not after it gets dark.

Seemingly the “joy” of lighting strings of fireworks or clusters of sky busters would wane after teenage years, but every holiday period the incessant and illegal fireworks sound off after 10 p.m. that  often rival if not outnumber, gunshots throughout the area.

For pet owners, their loved ones will have nights filled with anxiety unsuccessfully hiding wherever they can to block out the noise.

No doubt many a good night’s dreams and heavy slumber will be rudely interrupted by inconsiderate blockheads who find joy and solace in ways other than discharging all these noise blasts.

And to top it off, all the fireworks, roman candles, etc. leave debris in uninvited yards and on city streets as a reminder of the noise intrusions of those firework “shooters.”
