GILLEY TO MAKE SECOND RUN FOR CADDO DA

If any of you go back to 2020 when I first ran for public office, you will recall I published via Email my plan for how we could improve the criminal justice system in this parish. I called it my 21 planks for the 21st Century District Attorney. I had spent at least 6 months during the worst of Covid researching what other jurisdictions were trying across our country. It was clear to me that many amazing projects were being tried. Many of them proved to be quite successful. Over 32,000 voters cast their ballot for me as their next Caddo Parish District Attorney. I do not know how many actually read my platform. I do know that when I was out amongst the public, they pretty much were anxious to hear more about my ideas.
 
So here we are 6 years later. I can report that not one elected official has contacted me to discuss any of the ideas listed in my platform. As far as I know, none of my ideas was ever implemented by any of our local politicians/elected officials. They have all continued with the same outdated 20th Century gameplans that just don't work now that we are into the second quarter of the 21st Century.
 
But there is hope. I will once again be running against James Stewart for the position of Caddo Parish District Attorney. My name will be on the November 3, 2026, ballot. Not only will I present those 21 ideas from 2020, I will have even more recent ideas to put  before the public. My friends, there is hope. But be assured, it is we, the people, who must stand up and demand a progressive group of elected officials. The privileged few will not give up their power voluntarily.
