John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CADDO PARISH TAX ASSESSOR OPENS TWO SATELLITE LOCATIONS

This past week the Caddo Parish Tax Assessor opened two new satellite locations at Caddo Parish Sheriff substations.
 
These offices provide services for homestead exemptions, disabled veterans exemptions, first responder exemptions and special assessment freezes for senior citizens.
 
The satellite locations feature kiosks provided by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Tax Department that allow residents to make property tax payments by credit card.
 
The satellite offices are located in the Sheriff’s north substation at 11411 Louisiana Highway 1, Oil City and the Sheriff's south substation at 9956 Mansfield Road, Keithville.
 
Both locations are open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
