WILL SPD SGT. DONALD BELANGER BE INVESTIGATED AS PART OF PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY

Shreveport Police Department (SPD) Lieutenant Michael Jones and Lieutenant Alison Azlin own and operate Tactical Personal Security Solutions, LLC. (TPSS); see story below.

Several SPD personnel report that Sergeant Donald Belanger has been working for TPSS using SPD cars and city resources.

The SPD rank and file are raising questions about whether Belanger will be investigated along with Lt. Jones and Lt. Azlin.

SPD REAL TIME CRIME CENTER SUPERVISOR RUNS PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY

How much personal information does Shreveport’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) have on Shreveport residents?

Who really knows?

Who has access to the information gained from Flock cameras, SPD cameras, business cameras and ring cameras?

And should the gatekeeper of the RTCC information be a Shreveport Police officer who runs a “professional private security company” along with another SPD officer?

SPD Lieutenant Michael Jones supervises the RTCC.

Jones co-owns Tactical Personal Security Solutions, LLC (TPSS) with recently promoted Lieutenant Alison Azlin.

The TPSS website touts that TPSS “delivers executive protection and personal security in Shreveport, Louisiana, for business leaders, high-net worth individuals, families, schools, and churches. Our team specializes in protective threat assessments, secure transportation, estate security, and on-site protection services designed to prevent risks before they become problems.”

“When you need trusted executive protection and personal security in Louisiana or anywhere, TPSS provides dependable, low-profile protection tailored to your environment, schedule, and security cameras.”

TPSS was set up in November of last year. Jones and Azlin are listed on the Secretary of State website as the managers and members of TPSS.

Louisiana requires security companies to be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners. TPSS has not been licensed by this state board.

Reportedly, SPD Chief Wayne Smith has full knowledge of TPSS and referred the matter to the Caddo Sheriff’s Office for criminal investigation of malfeasance in office by Jones and Azlin.
