AMAZON WEB SERVICES HOSTS SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY FORUM

Approximately 250 people attended the Amazon Web Services community forum yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Representatives from Amazon Web Services (AWS), STACK Infrastructure, SWEPCO, data center general contractors, and DOWUS staffed the event.

It was well received by the concerned citizens who had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the people in the know.

Citizen questions on power consumption and the impact on consumer bills, water usage, workforce, construction and environmental issues were answered and information was also distributed.

The forum reflects the commitment of AWS to be a good corporate community citizen and to provide accurate information to the public.

More information will be posted on a public-facing Wed page, and social media will soon be ramped up for more citizens information.

AWS plans to have more community forums in the future.
