PSC CANDIDATE GREEN’S CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORT VERY QUESTIONABLE

Shreveport city councilman James Green is the Democratic candidate for the Public Service Commission (PSC) on the November 3 ballot. Caddo Commissioner John Atkins is the Republican candidate for this seat.

Green filed his PSC candidate financial report today, August 6.

The report shows campaign funds on hand at a NEGATIVE three thousand dollars (-$3000).

This means Green has spent $3000 more than he has received in campaign contributions.

However, the campaign finance report does NOT show any loans to this campaign or a personal contribution from himself.

If Green has spent $3000 more than he received in donations, he obviously paid these expenses with funds from his church or his own pocket. In either event, this should be reflected on the campaign report.

Hmmm.

If Green cannot file a correct campaign finance report, how can he adequately discharge the duties of a Public Service Commissioner?
