Is it too much to expect an elected official who wants to be mayor to accurately report her Louisiana Board of Ethics Personal Financial Disclosure Statement?
Stormy Gage-Watts is the Caddo Commissioner for District 7, which is primarily a rural district.
District 7 does NOT include Mooretown.
When qualifying for mayor, Stormy listed her address as 5517 Ellison Street, which is a very modest home on Mooretown; see picture below. Reported this residence is owned by Stormy’s mother-in-law.
Gage-Watts lives at 6648 Winder Circle West, which IS in her Commission district. However, the house is in the parish—NOT in the Shreveport city limits. See the mansion picture below.
The Shreveport Charter only requires that a mayoral candidate have a residence, not a domicile, in the Shreveport city limits at the time of qualifying. Thus, Stormy could have listed a Motel 6 in the city limits as her residence.
In the years leading up to 2026, Stormy correctly listed her address on her Personal Financial Disclosure Statement as Winder Circle. However, in her 2025 disclosure statement which was filed this year she listed the Ellison Street as her mailing address.

Hmmm…did she suddenly downsize and more from the country place valued at over $400,000 to an inner city dwelling with a market value of less than $50,000?
Gage-Watts is known for wearing many expensive wigs and glamorous high end outfits that put most women to shame. Recently she has adopted a "new look" that includes a constant "do" (as in hairdo/wig) and more conservative threads.
Stormy is a big supporter of data centers. She was one of three elected officials flown by private jet to Virginia to view data centers before her vote on the Caddo Commission supporting the Caddo parish data center.
