Almost All NW LA Sales Taxes Rise

5 of the 6 major NW LA sales taxing jurisdictions saw a gain in their May receipts vs 2025. Only Shreveport fell. The City of Shreveport levies 2.75% sales and use tax. It operates on a calendar fiscal year. Its May collections of $13,804,583 are 1.2% below the $13,977,648 in 2025.
