On Monday (Sept. 21) Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith gave his monthly crime report on calls for service to the Shreveport City Council comparing year to date with Sept. 21, 2025. Here are the calls for service: 1. Felonies   Down 13% 2. Vehicle thefts   Down 14% 3.

PARKS AND ELLIS SAY THEY ARE DISTRICT A RESIDENTS

Carmen Parks has  emailed saying that she is a resident of District A.Frederick Ellis has emailed saying that he also is resident of District A.The Shreveport city council will interview the candidates on Mon. starting at 9 a.m.The issues of residency can be discussed at that meeting.

Shreveport’s Chief Financial Officer Sherricka Jones has forwarded to Shreveport city council members budget reductions totaling $19.3 million. Jones advised that additional measures are being considered although not yet finalized.

Yes, it’s true.Chiefs can cook the food .. with or without a mask .Patio tables can be enjoyed by restaurant patrons.Masked Restaurant staff can bus the patio tables once you leave.But the same masked staff can not actually bring the food to patio patrons even if wearing gloves!
