FOUR JUVENILES KILL A HOMELESS MAN AND NO OUTCRY OR ACTION BY PUBLIC OFFICIALS

Last Friday (Aug.16), a homeless man was chased by four juveniles in the Werner Park neighborhood. The juveniles threw bottles at the man, hitting him and then they murdered him.Yes--four juveniles murdered a homeless man.Think about the homeless man who probably had mental challenges.

The Humor & Harmony Festival (HHF) is being hyped by public officials as an overwhelming success. Using practically any criteria for judging the four day festival. it merits that praise. However, like any major event on public property there are valid questions to be answered for the public.

ISSUES THAT THE CITY OF SHREVEPORT AND SHREVEPORT CITY COUNCIL NEED TO TIMELY ADDRESS

For the last several months the Arceneaux administration and the Shreveport City Council have been focused on the Humor & Harmoney Festival (HHF)and Shreveport's manganese water issues. The festival was a major success. DOWUS is spending serious energy on curing the brown water.

Who takes a new job on July 22 and not be paid until Aug. 30?Probably no one.Caddo Schools hired 14 security school coordinators who began work on July 22.

OK, it’s not a trick question. It’s all about history, like in Shreveport history being made right before our eyes. Many of us are very familiar with mayonnaise. The same could not have been said about manganese until this summer. Geek'd Con is another name/term that can cause some confusion.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I think the Humor & Harmony Festival is great for northwest Louisiana. From the get-go, I have sup­ported and promoted this festival in my blog and in this paper. Humor & Harmony has been a constant in the other local media for the past two weeks.

Shreveport City councilman James Green aka Rev. Green tries vainly to say “cute" things at council meetings. Green treats the council mike as if he was in his own church, expecting adulation and approval of his many pathetic quips.
