Caddo Commissioner seeks personal legal counsel, plans to fight lawsuit

By Emilee Calametti | The Center SquareCaddo Parish Commissioner Chris Kracman is seeking personal legal counsel after being denied representation by the Caddo Parish Attorney's Office in a defamation lawsuit filed by the owners of a Hosston truck stop.

IS PARISH ATTORNEY FRAZIER BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE LOUISIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL

That's the rumor.Recently Caddo Parish Attorney Donna Frazier authorized the hiring of a hotshot, high dollar attorney to represent the seven Democrat commissioners in an investigation by the Louisiana Attorney General's office.

At its only July meeting the Caddo Commission agenda included approval of construction of a  $10 million pickleball complex.

Goodness--it IS a big contract.The actual amount is $5,090,360.

The Louisiana Public Records Law grants broad powers to citizens seeking access to governmental  "public records", which are broadly defined in the statute. The statute provides that the requested records are to be provided within three (3) days.

Shreveport June Financials Show $141M in Expenditures and Encumbrances
