John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

EARLY VOTING UP IN BOSSIER AND CADDO PARISHES

Early voting in Louisiana ended Tues. Oct. 27 and the numbers are in for both absentee and in person voting.

Early voting in Bossier Parish was up over 2016 by 229 percent. In Caddo the number was up by 175 percent.

Bossier Parish early voters numbered 27,662.

Caddo Parish early voters numbered 28,557.

The Bossier Parish breakdown by race was 21,139 white, 5341 black, and 1189 other. By sex, there were 12,084 males and 15,581 female voters. Partywise the numbers were 7717 Democrats, 14634 Republicans, and 5318 other party/no party.

The Caddo Parish breakdown by race was 14,124 white, 13263 black, and 1170 other. By sex, there were 10,949 males and 17,602 females. Partywise the numbers were 16,435 Democrats, 8,049 Republicans , and 4,073 other party/no party.
