John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SALVATION ARMY THANKSGIVING DAY COMMUNITY DINNER AND RINGING RED KETTLE BELLS

The holidays are almost here! It’s time once again to sign up for the season opportunities with the Salvation Army. They need volunteers on Thanksgiving Day to prepare meals. There will be pickup and delivery service, as well as a small outside dining area. They have three shifts to choose from: set up from 9-11 am; meal service time from 10:30 am-12:30 pm; and take down/clean up time from 12 noon till 2:00 pm. Also, the red kettle bell ringing times are available six days a week (No Sunday ringing) from 9 am till 6 pm at about 40 locations in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. Call to reserve your time now.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree tag signup table at Mall St. Vincent and Bossier Mall that also needs staffing on Friday and Saturday from 11 am - 5 pm.
