John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Watch your mail for the information concerning the U.S. Census it usually arrives about the middle of March. Every time the Census is taken, the importance is greater for the rural business of agriculture and small towns. I know that some folks do not want to share any personal information but so much rides in the rural areas on the population and the use of our lands. Our part of Louisiana has a lot to gain from accurate census numbers and all need to be counted. Benefits come in three main areas; government funding, political representation and statistics for economic growth. The Census Bureau says that census data determines the spending of more than $675 billion in federal funds. The census data is used to draw and redraw districts for state and federal lawmakers. The Census Bureau is making things simple, quick and easy for everyone to be counted. This is a must.
