John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

PLAN AHEAD FOR AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION NEEDS

With four days of sunshine, a lot can be accomplished. Especially with wind gusts up to “20 miles per hour” and there is no telling what could be done in North Louisiana with a few more days of drying weather.

As we go in to the month of March agriculture gets excited. On Sunday, March 8, Daylight Savings Time begins. Thursday, March 19, spring begins at 10:50 p.m. CDT. During the month of March many of our vegetable gardeners can get their seeds and transplants in the ground, but keep a “frost blanket” handy, just in case our temperatures get near freezing.
