John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

COMMITTEE MEMBERS OF SHREVEPORT ECONOMIC RECOVERY TASK FORCE ANNOUNCED

The Shreveport Economic Recovery Task Force announced its committee members in May 14 issue of The Shreveport Sun.

The task force, which is a self-appointed group of citizens living in and out of Shreveport, is chaired by former Shreveport attorney Larry English and civil engineer Desi Sprawls.

Members of the digital infrastructure committee are Otis Ellis (chair), Marcel Miner (co-chair), Prof. Stan Altman (advisor), Melvin Green (advisor), Hannah Sprawls, Art Walker, Jim Jones, Demetrius Norman, Robert Vinet, Hilton Nicholson, Michael Patrick Quinn and Anish King.

Members of the transportation infrastructure  committee are Linda Biernacki (chair), Daron West (co-chair), Dominic Ozanne (advisor), David Alexander, Justin Sevier, Chris Elbertson, Larry English, Markey Pierre, Pat Booras, Mark Snow, Caddo Commissioner Roy Burrell, and Terrance Hall.

Members of the downtown infrastructure committee are Larry English (chair), David Alexander (co-chair), Eric Yarbu (advisor), Dominic Ozanne (advisor), JR Chantengeo (advisor), Melvin Green (advisor), Morris Clark, Alex Deshotels, Taylor Jamison, Reginald Mims, Calvin Lester, Daron West, Anish King, and Michael Patrick Quinn.

Members of the future bond proposals committee are Reginald Mims (chair), JR Chantego (co-chair), Al Tindal (advisor), Attorney Karen Jordan (advisor), Nathaniel Manning, Craig Lee, Dr. Ray Hicks, Tayor Jamison, Rickey Hall, Paul Pratt and Dr. Jeremy Simms Alexander.

English said that "what we have tried to do is make sure that each committee has a mix of local business leaders but also (individuals) with technical expertise."
