John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

AS OF JAN. 1, 2022, CADDO PARISH NO LONGER PART OF SHREVEPORT CADDO MPC 

Gov. John Bel Edwards has signed House Bill 697 of the 2020 Regular Session.

This bill takes Caddo Parish out of the Shreveport Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission.

This new law is effective Jan. 1. 2022. T

his is a big victory for the Caddo Alliance for Freedom and state representative Danny McCormick.

This change will means that Caddo Parish Commission will have more flexibility on zoning laws that affect Caddo Parish.
