CADDO COMMISSIONER CAWTHORNE'S RESIGNATION DELAY SHOULD BE A FACTOR IN HIS SENTENCING

Last Thurs. (Nov. 4) Caddo Commissioner Lynn Cawthorne attended what will hopefully be his last Commission meeting.

The next day (Friday) after the Commission meeting  Cawthorne plead guilty to two felony offenses. These involved depriving poor children of federally funded summer meals.

Today( Mon.) the Commission sent out a press release saying Cawthorne "intends to resign". No timeframe is indicated.

In the meantime Cawthorne is on the parish payroll making over $1800 per month.

Cawthorne has displayed at attitude of arrogance since Nov. 2019 indictments.

He has travelled on the Commission's dime and even ran for a state office in the police jury association.

He has attended practically every free public event possible, being recognized as a commissioner.

So how much longer will he dally in turning in his ticket?

In the alternative will the Commission call a special meeting to end this parade?

Tune in.
