HOW LONG WILL CADDO COMMISSIONER CAWTHORNE HOLD HIS SEAT AND GET PAID?

Caddo Commissioner Lynn Cawthorne plead guilty on Friday to federal felony charges of wire fraud and to aiding and assisting in making and submitting false tax return.

The Caddo Charter says that a Commissioner shall forfeit his office upon conviction. A guilty plea is a conviction.

So the question to be answered by Commission attorneys Donna Frazier and Henry Bernstein is how long will Cawthorne be on the parish payroll. Hopefully this will soon be answered.
