DEADLINE FOR CADDO SCHOOL BOARD REDISTRICTING PLANS TO SECRETARY OF STATE

JOHN E. SETTLE JR

The Caddo School Board is currently reviewing one - yes, only ONE - redistricting plan submitted by Data Center.

The fact that only one plan was submitted by this contractor has raised many questions as to the neutrality or non-bias work of Data Center.

School Board officials have said this ONE plan may be voted on in early May.

The Louisiana Secretary of State advises that the deadline for the submission of redistricting plans is June 26.

The school board has a regular meeting scheduled in May and June. Special meetings can be called if needed for approval of a redistricting plan.

The qualifying for the school board elections is July 20-July 22.
