WILL SHREVEPORT'S AMAZON FULFILLMENT CENTER OPENING BE DELAYED?

Amazon has been very tight- lipped when asked when the much ballyhooed Shreveport fulfillment center would open.

Freightwaves.com published an article on July 3 stating that Amazon plans to cancel or delay plans for at least 16 warehouses this year.

Shreveport is on the list.

It was noted that Amazon reported a $3.8 billion net loss in the first quarter of this year.

Much of this loss is attributed to additional costs since the construction of a fulfillment center network.
