John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

OPEN LETTER TO SHREVEPORT'S HEALTH CARE TRUST FUND BOARD

I attended your Aug. 17 meeting.

I know you are aware that over 30 citizens attended, and stood the entire meeting.

The next meeting on Sept. 7 will no doubt draw a large crowd.

I respectfully request the following for this meeting:

1. The meeting be properly noticed in accordance with the La. Open Meetings Law, and that notice be

given MORE than the required 24 hours before the meeting.

2. The meeting be held in the chambers on the first floor of Government Plaza.

3. Copies of the agenda be available for all attendees.

4. Copies of the minutes of the Aug. 17 meeting be available for all attendees.

5. Copies of all key documents/reports, etc. to be reviewed by the board members at the meeting, and especially those that may be voted upon, be made available to all attendees.
