NEW AIRPORT AUTHORITY DIRECTOR STARTS JOB ON SEPT. 6

John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Aug 31 NEW AIRPORT AUTHORITY DIRECTOR STARTS JOB ON SEPT. 6

Larry Blackwell starts his job as the director of the Shreveport Airport Authority (SAA) Director this coming Tues., Sept.6.

This information was presented to the SAA board of directors at its meeting today.

The SAA, known as the Secret Airport Agency, rarely announces anything to the public.

Hopefully this will change when Blackwell settles into his new job.

Actually, one can only hope that many things change with how the SAA and its board has conducted business over the last 10 years.

And yes, Virginia I do believe in Santa Claus!
