I attended the Shreveport City Council work session yesterday. Like most people in the chambers, I had difficulty in hearing the speakers who addressed the council and many times the people on the horseshoe.
I was able to hear part of the comments by Craig Lee who is the subject of a cease-and-desist letter from attorney Allison Jones. The microphone system is very poor, and I did not hear all of Lee's comments.
Erin McCarty on KEEL Radio this a.m. alerted me to the fact that many of the comments by Lee were "blacked out" on the YouTube recording of the council meeting.
I checked YouTube just now--and after the beginning of Lee's comments, the screen was "blacked out".
The video resumed when the next speaker addressed the Council.
I agree with Erin that an explanation needs to be provided as to why Lee's comments were eliminated.
So why did this happen?
Who authorized the "black out"?
Is the "black out" a violation of Louisiana law?
