John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CITY OF SHREVEPORT HIRES HIGHLY PAID ATTORNEY TO REPRESENT COUNCILMAN JAMES GREEN

The City of Shreveport has hired Nikki Buckle to represent councilman James Green in the defamation litigation filed by this columnist.

Buckle has immediately asked for extension until June 15 to file ANY pleadings for Green.

This request was not honored.

Buckle was paid over $310 thousand by the city in 2022 for legal services.

In 2021 she was paid over$225 thousand for legal services by the city.

In 2020 Buckle was paid over $220 thousand by Shreveport for legal services.

A request to Mayor Tom Arceneaux and interim city attorney Zelda Tucker for an explanation on the city representation of Green has not been answered.
