John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR CADDO COMMISSION FUNDING OF LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT

The Caddo Commission approved $500,000 in funding for two Lighthouse Projects at its meeting yesterday.

This funding by the parish is subject to the following requirements:

1. Receipt by North Louisiana Interfaith of matching funds of $500,000

2. Project plans are developed to include a cistern-based emergency water backup water system with filtration at each site with adequate capacity to meet the same level of community needs anticipated for emergency electricity.

3. Receipt by North Louisiana Interfaith of funding for the emergency water system.

Funding will also be contingent upon execution of agreements with the Parish.
