SHREVEPORT'S DIRECTOR OF COUNCIL AFFAIRS HAS PREPARED NEWSLETTERS FOR FOUR COUNCIL MEMBERS

If you are a constituent of councilwoman Tabatha Taylor (District A), councilman Gary Brooks (District B), councilman Alan Jackson (District E) or councilwoman Ursula Bowman (District G), you may want to ask for a copy of your council person’s newsletter.

Each of these newsletters are numbered Volume 1, Issue 1, Spring 2023.

Taylor's newsletter is titled District Advocate.

Brook's newsletter is titled District Bulletin.

Jackson's newsletter is titled District Edition.

Bowman's newsletter is titled District Gazette.

The format for each is basically the same:

Front page features the Swearing In copy, Update of Council Actions, Things to Remember Page 2 has Get to Know Your Council Member, Actions by the council person Page 3 has a listing of council member's contact info, contact info for members of the council clerk's office, From the Mayor, and Welcome New District Businesses.

Page 4 has information on the Caddo Parish Notification Program and Update Your Neighborhood Association Information.

Distribution of the newsletters is the responsibility of each council member.

One could ask why this information could not be on a Facebook page, but then part of the justification of hiring the Director of Council Affairs was preparation of these newsletters.

Never mind that the information in each is now dated.
