Along with all his whining about following past procedures on pay raises for the Shreveport city council clerk's office which is factually incorrect, councilman James Green has constantly said the employees of the Shreveport City Council Clerk's office work so hard, and that they deserve an additional pay raise after the 13% pay raise last year.
The facts do NOT support Green's comments.

The commission clerk's office has coordinated 76 meetings of the commission and commission committee meetings as of yesterday.
This is simple math.
How hard the employees of each clerk's office is directly related to the number of meetings of that respective body.
Reportedly, many of the council clerk employees rarely work more than 35 hours a week.
In the near future, efforts will be taken to monitor the comings and goings of the council clerk's employees at Government Plaza to determine how many hours they actually work.
