IS SB ADVOCATE TRASHING BOSSIER OR SHREVEPORT WITH SEWER REPAIR PICTURE

Yes, Shreveport has its challenges with its sewer system and needed repairs.

Yes, Shreveport also has challenges with water main blowouts that need emergency repairs.

Yes, Bossier City has had a large number of emergency repairs to its water system this year.

And yes, Lillian Street and West College streets are in Shreveport.

But why have a 2023 picture of a sewer repair between Lillian and West College in an article captioned "Emergency Pipe Repairs Have Cost Bossier City over $2.5 Million in 2025."

So, is the intent to publish a Shreveport repair photo in copy about Bossier City to help Bossier look good or Shreveport look bad? Or since Shreveport has EPA mandated sewer repairs was it an effort to show some compliance with the EPA consent decree?

Goodness the Shreveport Bossier Advocate has an assigned reporter to cover Bossier happening and a full time staff photographer sporting a tool belt with photo supplies to snap pictures that could be taken with an I-Phone. Maybe it was a slow day in the photo shop or the local Advocate staff is unaware of the major differences in the two cities.
