John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

OCTOBER GAMING REPORT SHOWS MARGARITAVILLE LEADING THE PACK

The Louisiana State Police gaming report for October has been posted,
 
Margaritaville had the highest adjusted gross revenue (AGR) with $13.6 million wagered. Horseshoe had the second highest AGR ($11.8 million) followed by Live! ($10.5 million.)
 
Following these were Bally’s ($6.8 million), Boomtown ($2.8 million) and Sam’s Town ($2.7 million).
 
Live! had the most admissions (105 thousand) followed by Margaritaville (92 thousand), Bally’s (88 thousand), Horseshoe (61 thousand), Boomtown (38 thousand) and Sam’s Town (32 thousand).
 
Horseshoe had the big hitters with an average $192 per admission wagered. Next was Margaritaville with $147 per admission wagered followed by Live! with $100 wagered per admission.
 
Sam’s Town had an average of $84 wagered per admission, Bally’s followed with $79 wagered per admission with Boomtown having $73 wagered per admission.
